I tried to throw myself in other places, but grace embraced me tightly
I smelled the sky and felt the warmth of the waters
A heavy breath made me sit up and reflect
Jesus!
Where are you now?
Do you know that I need to dance with you to feel truly lovable?

Take care that the thorns in my heart don't get into anyone else's
If I only knew how to serve flowers, I would
But sometimes words hit me too hard, the reaction takes me away from kindness

Pull me closer so I can hear you Jesus
And silence me when the words are bitter
Yet may this gall not consume me all
Cover me with your light quickly
