We must not forget, in the midst of storms, that God is strong
That the love of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is enough for a journey of eternity
God alone is my creator
He created heaven and earth and all that exists
The cross of Christ is the door to the home and the Spirit of truth is the counselor
He is the comforter who gathers up all tears
He convinces man to repent
Picks us up and puts us on the path
Keeps the mind connected to heaven
Changes understanding
And my results
Teaches me to walk even in the midst of trials
And if I fail, I pray and search the word
And with his love he comes to teach me

That despite my actions as a man
His love is enough to scrutinize and remove all darkness and gloom
The word sheds light but it is the Holy Spirit who brings understanding
Picks us up and puts us on the path
Keeps the mind connected to heaven
Changes understanding
